Logmanager pricing in 2026: Free, Scale and Max, metered on stored data
The independent Logmanager pricing reference. The model: stored gigabytes, not ingested gigabytes
Logmanager meters storage. The pricing page states that you pay only for the log data you store each month, with no limits on daily data volume. The unit on every tier card is per GB/mo, and the GB being counted is the data held in the appliance, not the data arriving at it.
That inverts the variable most SIEM buyers are used to managing. Under an ingest meter, daily volume is the bill and retention is close to free at the margin until a separate archive rate applies. Under a storage meter, daily volume and retention collapse into one number: how much data is resident. Doubling retention at a fixed daily volume doubles the stored footprint, and therefore the bill. Halving daily volume at a fixed retention halves it. A burst of noisy logging costs nothing extra on the day it arrives; it costs whatever storage it continues to occupy.
The storage figure doubles as a retention control. The published behaviour when a package is full is that the oldest data is overwritten to make room for new entries, so the package size sets how far back the searchable window reaches at a given daily volume rather than triggering an overage charge. Two other axes that are commonly metered elsewhere are not metered here: users are unlimited on every package, and log sources are unlimited, with over 140 predefined parsing rules covering the common ones.

The four Scale rates
Scale is the only paid package with published rates, and it publishes four of them: two deployment options by two billing modes. The deployment toggle moves the rate more than the billing toggle does.

The page advertises a 25 percent annual saving and the FAQ restates it as roughly 25 percent cheaper per GB. On self-hosted that is exact; on SaaS it is 26.3 percent.
Monthly: $0.19 - $0.12 = $0.07/GB/mo, 58.3% above self-hosted
Annual: $0.14 - $0.09 = $0.05/GB/mo, 55.6% above self-hosted
The self-hosted rate excludes the VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox host and the operational time to run it; the SaaS rate includes both. Compare the trade-off in cloud versus on-premise.

Worked cost at the published storage sizes
Scale on SaaS is sold in three fixed sizes: 500 GB, 1,000 GB and 2,000 GB. The same three sizes are used below for self-hosted, which starts at 100 GB. Each cell is the stored gigabytes multiplied by the published rate, nothing more.

Licence only. The annual column is the annual rate expressed per month, with the up-front annual figure in brackets, computed at the published $1.68 GB/yr on SaaS and $1.08 GB/yr self-hosted. Taxes and discounts are excluded, per the pricing page. The self-hosted figures exclude the hypervisor host and the operational time to run it. Any Forwarder instances are additional at $69 per instance/year.
What the per-GB rate covers

How it is bought
Free and Scale are self-serve: checkout runs through FastSpring, so a subscription can be started online without a sales call. Max is quote-based instead, scoped by the vendor and sent as a contract. Billing is monthly or annually on Scale, with the annual option billed up front at the per-year figures above.
There is one published regional exception. In Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Japan, self-serve SaaS billing is not available and those markets run on the channel model, with pricing and billing handled through a local partner rather than online checkout. The pricing page states separately that the listed prices apply globally except for businesses resident in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland or Japan, which are offered local pricing. No rates are published for those markets, so the figures on this page should be read as the global list only.
Two evaluation routes exist and they are not the same thing. The 7-day free trial gives access to the full UI and feature set. The free tier is permanent: a self-hosted deployment with the full feature set, unlimited users and 100 GB of storage, limited by the storage cap rather than by a clock. Self-hosted deployment uses prebuilt virtual appliance images for VMware, Hyper-V and Proxmox; the vendor puts the appliance itself at about 30 minutes, log source onboarding at 2 to 3 hours, and follow-up configuration at another 1 to 2 hours.
